The Fragrance Laboratory
with Selfridges / Givaudan / Campaign / The Future Laboratory
As part of the Selfridges Beauty Project in collaboration with The Future Lab, Givaudan and Campaign a large scale immersive retail experience was hosted in Selfridges, London.
Guests were instructed to partake in a multi-sensory experience guided by an a headphone sound piece comprised of vocal instructions, field recordings and abstract musical elements. Participants were invited to navigate the environment using their sense of touch, smell and sound.
I was commissioned to design three acoustic environments encoded binaurally fusing a broad range of elements together into a seamless experience. Acoustically designed 3D spatial configurations were programmed in synchronicity with the participants real life movements. The project won ISG UK Retail interior of the year award and was featured as must-see destination in Time Out, Evening Standard and others.
